Seven card stud is a game one must master in order to become a true professional. Many of today's larger stakes games come in formats that include multiple games, so being weak in one or two will hurt your overall performance.
With today's younger generation, the flop games are what they yearn to play, but those with any brains would rather play stud variations, especially short handed stud variations.

Big hands are not needed in short handed games, as large pairs will usually get the job done. So do things the proper way, bet your high pairs, even reraise at times, as the opposition will try to find out how strong you are, plus get you to check, thus not losing an extra bet.
